wXL23 is an advanced weather application catering to storm chasers, meteorologists, and weather enthusiasts. It is a free, no-ads, and open-source app that provides optimized NWS (National Weather Service) data for various divisions not typically covered together on mobile platforms, such as SPC, WPC, NHC, OPC, etc. The app features Level 3 Nexrad radar with single, dual, and quad pane options. Please note that this weather app is not affiliated with NOAA or the National Weather Service.
If you only require current conditions and your local 7-day forecast, this app may be more than sufficient for your needs. However, if you are looking for excessive visual elements or fancy graphics, this app may not be suitable. Given the depth of information covered, there is a steep learning curve if you want to fully utilize all features of the program. Help information is available to assist you with this. Familiarity with common weather acronyms is recommended. Currently, the app only supports locations within the United States.

- Current forecast and 7-day conditions for an unlimited number of locations from NWS.

- Metal-based Nexrad radar interface with various options. A 2-pane and 4-pane version are also available in the miscellaneous tab.
- Optimized text product viewer for easy access to AFD, HWO, and others from any NWS WFO.
- Viewer for Vis/IR/WV/Radar mosaic with animations.
- SPC products such as Watches, MCDs, Convective Outlooks, Mesoanalysis.
- WPC products.
- Weather models.
- NHC products.
Note: iPhone 5s or newer is required for the Nexrad radar viewer.
